1. Signs of the Times – Matthew 24

We don’t know the day or the hour, but Jesus made it clear we can know the season (Matthew 24) of the end of days. Some of the signs that Scripture reveals are an increase of natural disasters, moral decline, lawlessness, wars and rumors of wars, increased persecution of Believers, false teachers, a push towards a one world religion/government/currency, apostasy/falling away, increased knowledge and increased travel.

However, not all of the “signs of the times” are negative. Some of the positive things we will see before Christ comes for the Church is: Global preaching of the Gospel, a mass outpouring of the Holy Spirit, increased prosperity for the Church, multitudes of souls coming to Christ (even in the middle of a falling away), the promise of a Rapture before the darkest parts of the end times; the 7 years of Tribulation. So, for the world things will continue to get dark, but for the Church things will get brighter! For the Church, it is our finest hour!

2. The Rapture – 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17

The Rapture is the word we use to describe a glorious resurrection of those who died in Christ. Graves will even split open. God’s Word tells us that the dead in Christ will rise first, and Christians who have not yet died will be caught up with them in the air and go on to eternity. The Bible describes it like the twinkling of an eye, our “mortality” puts on “immortality” and our corruptible flesh and blood body puts on an incorruptible body.

We are instantly transfigured into new bodies, and ascend into the clouds where we will go on to the Judgment Seat of Christ and as Believers we will give an account for our time, talents, treasures and tongue.

3. Gog and Magog War – Ezekiel 38-39

Scripture foretold, thousands of years ago, of an end time war that would take place.. The war consists of Russia, Turkey, Iran, Sudan, Ethiopia, Libya, Armenia and other eastern european countries all allying against and invading Israel. Amazingly, unlike any other time in human history, many of these nations are Israel’s present day enemies and are already allied.

Yes, the stage is already being set for the last days. God will fight for Israel, and Scripture tells that it will take 7 months to bury the dead, and 7 years to destroy the weapons that were brought into Israel. This wipes out Israel’s enemies in one blow and gives a pathway for a new world order and global leader that we call the antichrist. It also gives a pathway to rebuild a new, third, Jewish temple. 

4. The Rise of an Antichrist – Revelation 5 / Daniel 7

The Antichrist will rise out of a 10 nation confederacy, he will ride off a powerful political system. This is a man who will be offered the same thing that Satan offered Jesus in Luke 4, but he will accept it. He will sign a 7 year peace treaty will Israel, which will kick off what we call the 7 Years of Tribulation. Revelation lists of the terrible plagues and judgments that are released on the earth when God’s people, Israel, goes in Covenant with the Antichrist. Scripture calls it a time where men will seek death and beg mountains and rocks to fall on them.

5. The Abomination of Desolations – Daniel 9:27, Matt 24

After 3 and ½ years, the Antichrist will break the peace treaty and turn on Israel. He will enter into their rebuilt Temple (the temple in Israel they are planning to build in our lifetimes), and declare himself to be god. He will demand worship, and go from Israel’s #1 protector to their #1 persecutor. The remaining 3 and ½ years will be some of the most difficult times for those still alive. By this time billions of people would have already died. Jesus said if the days aren’t cut short, no flesh would live. 

6. Israel accepts Jesus as Messiah – Hosea 6, Revelation 16:14-16/19:11-21

As the antichrist goes in for a final extermination of the Jewish people in a place of refuge that they will be gathered in, the hardness of their hearts will be removed and they will finally recognize Jesus as their Messiah. We get a picture of this 3 day Jewish revival in Hosea 6:1-3! The leaders that once urged the people to reject Jesus will now urge the people to turn to Him.

As the antichrist suffers a possible severe blow to his economic system, he will turn all his rage towards the Jewish people with an overwhelming force. 

7. The Second Coming of Jesus Christ 

Acts 1:9-11  And when he had said these things, as they were looking on, he was lifted up, and a cloud took him out of their sight. 10 And while they were gazing into heaven as he went, behold, two men stood by them in white robes, 11 and said, “Men of Galilee, why do you stand looking into heaven? This Jesus, who was taken up from you into heaven, will come in the same way as you saw him go into heaven.”

2 Thessalonians 2:8 And then the lawless one (the antichrist) will be revealed and the Lord Jesus will slay him with the breath of His mouth and bring him to an end by His appearing at His coming.

Jesus will come on a white horse with those who were raptured, and will slay the antichrist and his armies and set up a millennial kingdom on the Earth. This is the blessed hope of the Church. There will be an end to suffering, there will be a day where He wipes every tear from every eye, there will one day be an end to death and an end to Satan. There will be an eternal state where we will be with Him forever.
