RIVER EASTER EGG HUNT 2024
Hello! The River Church invites you to join us for an unforgettable time for the whole family at the fairgrounds! 

Mark your calendars for this joyous event on March 30th, 3PM!

We’ve got 11,000 eggs filled with treats and surprises waiting to be discovered during our FOUR separate egg hunts, tailored for kids aged 1-2, 3-5, and 6-12! 
 1-2 years old (Parents may accompany)
 3-5 years old (Parents may not accompany)
 6-12 years old (Parents may not accompany)
 3-12 Special Needs (Parents may accompany)

Each age group will have their own designated area, ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience for all our egg hunters! 

But wait, there’s more!  In addition to the egg hunts, we’ll have fun-filled giveaways, prizes and a short message from Pastor Zach on the true meaning of Easter!

 So gather your family and friends, and let’s make this River Easter Egg Hunt an unforgettable day! Don’t forget your baskets, and be sure to tag and share this event with your loved ones!

Last year took a long time to stand in line, what’s changed?
This year we have a streamlined check in process and it will be much faster than previous years! If you pre-register online (when available), you will be able to use a fast pass that can be scanned with your phone or a piece of paper.

Is this a free event?
Entry and participation to the event is totally free! This event is paid for by the members and partners of The River Church! If you’d like to make a contribution towards this years event, or next year, you can go to https://therivercoshocton.com/give

The only thing that isn’t free are the optional vendors and food trucks that we allow to set up a tent, table or truck on site. The businesses represented are a part of our “Kingdom Business Fellowship”. These are businesses that donate 10% or more of their profit, year round, to ministries that reach out into their community like The River Church. When you support them, you are supporting the work of the ministry and outreaches like these.

What should I expect?
Make sure you have registered for the event. When you come you can simply come in, you’ll be greeted by our staff who will also be available to answer questions. You can then register your child to win some of the giveaways such as bikes, toys and giftcards. Afterward you will go to the stage area, where we will have live music. One of our speakers will come up once the day starts, and do some prize drawings and give away some bicycles. We will then close the check-in period, so it is important that you arrive on time if you wish to participate with the Easter Egg Hunt. Pastor Zach will then come up and preach a short, but inspirational message from the Bible. He will then give people an opportunity to pray. The entire stage portion with the music, giveaways and inspirational message should be under an hour.

Afterwards, we will start the Easter Egg Hunt!

How does the Easter Egg Hunt work?
The entire hunt usually lasts under a half hour. There are four egg hunts happening at the same time. 0-2, 3-5, 6-12 and special needs. For the 0-2 and Special Needs adults are allowed to assist the children. For 3-5 and 6-12 adults are not allowed on the field. When it’s time for the Egg Hunt, listen to the person on the microphone on the stage. They will direct everyone line up at the age appropriate hunt. Once we sound the alarm, the egg hunt begins and children can rush on the field and collect as many eggs as they can!

Every egg has candy. Some eggs have prize slips! It’s important to open your eggs before you leave the event! If your child has a prize slip, they can go to the prize table and get their rewards. You may keep the eggs, or put them in boxes we will have out at the end of the field.

What happens after the Easter Egg Hunt?
Business vendors will still be available! You can go browse, learn about and/or support some of our local Kingdom Businesses!

What are some of the giveaways and prizes?
Every year is different. This year you can expect bicycles, new toys and electronics, and gift cards! The prize table is full of toys for all ages. We would also like to give away a car to someone in need at the event. If you, or someone you know, would like to donate a vehicle, please see our Donate A Car page!

What is The River Church?
We have been serving our community during the holidays for over a decade. Our mission is to see Coshocton experience the love of Jesus and to show our city that they can have a living, breathing, relationship with the one who created them. You are invited to attend one of our church services every Sunday at 10AM! We have a program for children 0-12 as well.
