God’s Promise to Heal Part 2

James 5:14-15 And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him.

1. It is a part of our covenant – Heb 8:6
2. Sickness and Disease are Demonic Oppression – Acts 10:38
3. Redeemed from Sickness and Disease! – Galatians 3:13/Deu 28

4. Healing is the Children’s Bread.

In Matthew 15, a Canaanite woman came to Jesus and pleaded with Him to heal her daughter. Jesus told her, “It’s not right to take the children’s bread and give it to the dogs.” Jesus wasn’t insulting her by calling her a dog, what He was saying is that she had no legitimate expectation or right to His help since she was not Jewish. Gentiles (Non-Jews) were brought into the covenant later. She replied “Even the dogs eat the crumbs that fall from the masters table”, Jesus told her “Oh woman, your faith is great! Let it be done as you desire” and her daughter was completely healed. You see then, even though should have had no legitimate expectation that Jesus would do anything for her, she still received a miracle because of her Faith! Imagine the people who would have given up when Jesus initially turned her down. Faith pushes through until what it desires is manifested!

If the Canaanite woman received healing as a “dog”, how much more of a right do we have to healing as a Child! We aren’t eating the crumbs, we have access to Bread! God wants to heal you, because you are His Child, and Healing is the Children’s Bread! Hallelujah!!

5. Sickness is an abomination unto God.

In Genesis 1, God made His man, Adam, as He wanted Him to be – in God’s image or perfect. God made man perfect; spirit, soul and body. On which day did God create sickness and disease? Answer: None. He didn’t make them because they were not good, and God only creates what is good (VERY good).

Adam and Eve, when created, knew no sickness, disease or pain. There has to be spiritual death (seperation from God) before there can be sickness and disease. Sickness is an abomination unto God. He hates it because it ruined His perfect creation – man.

Romans 5:12 Therefore, just as through one man sin entered the world, and death through sin, and thus death spread to all men, because all sinned…

Understand that God desires you to be healed, because it is not in His perfect plan for you to be sick or diseased.
