Believer’s Authority: Redemption

“Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you.”
– Luke 10:19 KJV

When the father ran to his son in the parable of the prodigal son, the father put a robe on his sons back, shoes on his feet and a ring on his finger. That ring was a signet ring that held the family sigil. It was a ring of Authority. They would use those rings to seal documents. When people saw that seal, they knew that the entire family behind that seal was backing it.

The day you were Born Again, the Father gave you a ring. That ring represents the Authority that you have as a believer! This means that a newly Born Again Believer has as much Authority as someone who has been saved their entire life!

Jesus said in Mark 16 “These signs follow them that BELIEVE… in My name they will cast out devils” Authority over devils is not the sign of a person in the ministry, but rather the sign of a Believer!

Gal 3:13-14, “But Christ has redeemed us from the curse pronounced by the law. When he was hung on the cross, he took upon himself the curse for our wrongdoing. For it is written in the Scriptures, “Cursed is everyone who is hung on a tree.” Through Christ Jesus, God has blessed the Gentiles with the same blessing he promised to Abraham, so that we who are believers might receive the promised Holy Spirit through faith.”

Galatians 3:13 says Christ HAS already redeemed us from the curse of the law. This is huge! It’s imperative that every Believer understands what exactly they’ve been redeemed out of. What you don’t know, can hurt you! The devil loves to prey on ignorance of the Word of God. Many times the devil will do something in our lives, and then try to convince us that it’s Gods will for us to have it.

But, when we understand what exactly we’ve been redeemed out of, we can boldly say “No!” to the devil, and stand in faith knowing what does and does not have a right to remain in our lives!

Deu 28 lists the blessings and the curses. Here are some of the curses we have been redeemed out of:
Cursed in our city and our land, food will be cursed, children being cursed, animals being cursed, cursed when we enter our home, cursed when we leave our home, confusion and frustration in all that we undertake, pestilence that sticks to you, disease, fever, inflammation, fiery heat, drought, blight, all these curses will persue you, your enemies will defeat you, boils, tumors that cannot be healed, madness, blindness, confusion, you shall not prosper in your ways, oppressed, robbed continually, another person will take your spouse, you will not live in the houses you build, you will not reap what you sow, what you own will be seized, your sons and daughters will be given over to another power, poverty, captivity..

Gal 3:13, “But Christ has redeemed us from the curse pronounced by the law…” That is only a short list of the curses of Deu 28 that we have been redeemed out of. It’s time to understand that you’re REDEEMED and this still has no right to stay in your life, in Jesus name!
